What is TANCET?
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test or TANCET is a common entrance exam conducted by Anna University for admission to MTech/ MArch/ MPlan/ ME, MBA and MCA programmes offered by various colleges in Tamil Nadu. Over 200 colleges in Tamil Nadu accept TANCET scores.
TANCET Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for appearing in TANCET is given below:
- For MBA programme, candidate must have completed his/her graduation from a recognized university in any discipline.
- For MCA programme, candidate must be a graduate with mathematics as a subject in graduation or at 10+2 level
- For all other courses, candidates should have completed their B.Tech/B.E. from a recognized university in the relevant field
- Those candidates who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE are also eligible for TANCET
- Candidate must have secured at least 50 per cent marks (open category) and 45 per cent(reserved category) in the Bachelor’s degree exam
- There is no age restriction in TANCE

Highlights of TANCET Pattern for MCA
- TANCET question paper for MCA will carry 100 questions.
- Total marks of TANCET exam is 100.
- For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded one mark.
- For incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
For selecting multiple options as answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted

Anna University will release TANCET result 2020 in online mode at its official website.
Step 1: Visit the official website of TANCET – tancet.annauniv.edu
Step 2: Click on the link “TANCET 2020 Result”
Step 3: After clicking on the link, candidates have to provide their User ID & Password
Step 4: After furnishing all the details, candidates will be redirected to their Scorecard.
Step 5: TANCET 2020 Result will be displayed on the screen in the form of mark sheet
Step 6: Candidates are advised to check all the particulars mentioned in the result and take a print out of it.
