What is BVP B-CAT?
BVP B-CAT is an entrance exam conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU), Pune for admissions to the university’s 3 years full time Master of Computer Application (MCA) and MCA Second Year Lateral Entry Programmes. The progamme is offered by BVP Deemed University’s Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Developmet (IMED). BCAT exam dates have not been announced yet but the application form for BVP B-CAT will be released in the third or last week of March.

BVP B-CAT Eligibility Criteria
MCA (Three Years Full Time)
- Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration with Mathematics as a course at 10 + 2 level or at Graduate Level. Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination.
MCA Second year Lateral Entry
- Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration in BCA, BCS, B. Sc(IT/Computer Science) with Mathematics as a course at 10 +2 level or at Graduate Level. Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination. These Candidates are also eligible for MCA (Three years full time programme

Exam Pattern
Candidates can read this below information to know about the various details regarding BVP B-CAT Exam pattern:
- Exam Mode: The entrance test for BVP B-CAT will be held in online mode, i.e. computer based test.
- Type of Questions:The questions will be of multiple choice questions (MCQ) type which will have 4 options.
- Number of Questions: The admission test paper will have 200 questions in it.
- Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking done in the admission test.
BVP B-CAT Marking Scheme
- There is no negative marking in case of wrong attempts
- Moreover, no marks will be awarded or deducted, if questions are left unattempted.
