What is AMU Entrance Exam?
Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam is the entrance test conducted by the university for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by it. AMU conducts two types of entrance tests to offer admission to candidates in different courses:
- Admission Test wherein exams are conducted at the university level
- Departmental Test wherein exams are conducted by the respective departments
The entrance exam is conducted in pen-paper based test mode for all courses. The candidates qualifying the entrance exam as well as fulfiling the eligibility criteria will be offered final admission.

| Any of the following Options may be satisfied | B.Tech/B.Arch/B.E. with 55% marks in aggregate. |
| Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognised University with 55% marks in aggregate and must have studied Mathematics along with any two of the following subjects, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Application, Computer Maintenance, Information Technology as main or subsidiary subject at the qualifying examination. | |
| Must have studied Physics and Mathematics in the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent Course. | |
| Age Limit | Not more than 27 years as on 01st July in the year of admission. |

EXAM PATTERN
AMU Entrance Exam pattern is such that there will be one paper containing 100 multiple choice questions of 100 marks that candidates need to complete in a duration of two hours.

- Mathematics: Algebra, Geometry, Numerical Analysis, Calculus, Differential Equations and Advanced Calculus
- Statistics: Statistical Inference, Descriptive Statistics, Probability Distributions, Probability Theory, Sampling Theory and Design of Experiments & LPP
