What is BHU PET ?

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET) for admissions to its PG programmes offered by its affiliated/constituent colleges. The programmes are offered in Humanities, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management, Mass Communication, Hospitality, Travel, and Teaching streams.

BHU PET Eligibility Criteria

Here is the eligibility for BHU PET for MCA course:

  • Candidates should have completed their graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate
  • They should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at either Intermediate or +2 (10+2) or equivalent examination, or, Bachelor’s level (as a main or a subsidiary subject).

BHU PET Marking Scheme

The scores of candidates will be evaluated as per the marking scheme below: 

  • Three marks will be awarded for each correct attempt 
  • One mark will be deducted for each incorrect attempt from the total scores
  • No marks will be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted in the exam
  • Final scores will be an outcome of questions attempted by candidates after deducting marks for wrong attempts.
